Woo. What a month.

Okay first of all, how cute is my husband? Yes, Alex is now my husband! :) What a sweet post -- I didn't even know he knew how to do that. Being married is different than I thought, but still SO MUCH BETTER than before.

The wedding went very well, no big glitches, except when I lost both of our recommends on the plane....but thanks to wonderful priesthood leaders we were just fine! We're anxiously awaiting getting our wedding pictures, and will be sure to put those up when we get them.

Our first week of marital bliss included rehearsal for Divine Comedy every night and a show that whole weekend. The next week, and this week too, Alex has been studying til late hours of the night in the library trying to get ready for finals. Apparently when you're engaged you don't do so well in classes, so finals are kinda important. Woof.

This thursday is our HONEYMOON!!! WOO!! We're both so excited, it's the only thing that's been keeping us sane. We'll leave Thursday evening after Alex's work and stay the night in St. George with Alex's mission friend Wilstead. Then it's off to San Diego for our cruise!! Oh man, I am so excited.



Our favorite news of the week is CARLIE'S TUMOR IS GONE!!!! Isn't Heavenly Father amazing? What a blessing! I've learned so much about fasting and prayers -- hooray!!

I love Natalie

Hello. This is Alex. I feel strangely out of place in the blogging world, but i thought that this would be a good place to let Natalie know how much i love and appreciate her. This might sound cheesy but she means the world to me. She is more than a best friend to me, she is my lovely wife, a title that i am glad that only she gets to have because she is so much more special than anyone else reading this.... I love everything about her and everything about our relationship!

One month!

Hey everybody!

We've had an interesting week to say the least. After my throat kept on swelling up, and after a couple doctor's visits, it was proclaimed that I have mono! It coule have been MUCH worse, but now that means I have to "take it easy" for a month, not like anything big is happening...oh wait.
We're getting married in a month! Woo! Exactly a month from today. We can't believe how it has crept up on us!

Alex is doing well too, and no signs of mono yet. Yes, that means no kissing until the wedding day! We're working on announcements this week, and everything should be out by then.

Sorry we're not big into the blog, but i'm 98% sure no one reads this anyways....

Hey all! :)

We survived the first Divine Comedy show -- sick, but not dead. We are both feeling better, and getting back into school. This week is midterms, announcements, selling my contract, and trying to sleep in between. Tyler is going through the temple on Saturday, and we're very excited! :)

I got some good news today -- I am officially accepted into the Theatre Education program. Two more year, and I am a theatre teacher! :)

Alex has been so sweet to me while I've been sick. He's a great husband already! We're getting married in 38 days and can't believe where the time has gone. Some days it seems like November 27th will never get here, and then some days it feels like "Woah! It's October 20th already?! "

We're very grateful for all the help that everyone has given us with the wedding. We are so lucky and blessed! :)

Also, Max Hall just came into my office. I helped him find his Science class. he hasn't been yet. I need to tell Jeff! I called Alex and told him and his first question was "Did you kiss him on the mouth?" I said no, and he said "Natalie!" Like I was in trouble. We love BYU Football a little too much! :)

Stool has Scharted!

Well, it's that time of year again. School's in! We're both really excited about it, because we're hoping the distraction of school/ work/ Divine Comedy will help the time fly by until November. I'm working about 19 hours and 55 minutes this week, but I'll usually work about 17 hours at my secretary job. It's very fun, but sometimes very busy. It's fun though! And my name plate already says "Natalie Madsen", which makes me smile :)

HOLY COW BYU WON! What a good game huh? That's probably the most exciting thign about this past month. I found a dress, we have basically everything figureout except announcements and apartment arrangements. Anybody want to buy a contract in November ? We've been regulars at KSL and craigslist these days.

Alex is starting classes, and he's enjoying them a lot. He especially likes his anatomy class -- for some reason he likes blood and other kinds of yucky things. But, I'm glad he likes it!

Divine Comedy has started up, and we have auditions tonight. Should be fun! Hope everyone is doing well! :)

My week off!

So this week I didn't work an EFY camp OR a Sports camp. Therefore, we did wedding things! Well, mostly. I also have a show coming up this next weekend, so I've been putting up posters and such to advertise. We looked at different reception places and the decision is........THE ALPINE ART CENTER! We're excited, it's a beautiful place, and even better, they do all the set up and take down themselves!

Also, I got a job this past week! :) As a student secretary for the Math Department. I start work tomorrow, as well as another Sports Camp in the evenings. It'll be a busy week! :)

My week was Great!! I got to spend it all with Nat! I am doing an internship at a dental office in the mornings, and working at an ortho lab in the afternoons. I love doing both! I got to assist for a endodontist, then do root canals, and really really enjoyed it! I am thinking that it the specialty for me. Doing all this wedding stuff makes me more and more excited to marry Natalie!

Hey everybody!
Welcome to our blog. Alex and I (Natalie) are engaged! To be married! So, in true BYU fashion, we decided to start a blog.
Today was my first day of being an EFY counselor. For those of you who don’t know, EFY stands for Especially for Youth. It’s like a big LDS summer camp. It goes Monday through Saturday morning, filled with dances, Big Booty, bad cafeteria food, awkward flirting, and awesome church classes throughout the day. This is my first experience with EFY, I never went in my 14-18 year old days. I’ve been a counselor all summer for BYU Sports and Dance Camps, so I decided to do an EFY session to spice things up. It’s definitely been a learning experience already. EFY this session I’m working is having all of its major meetings in a tent! We are dwelling in a tent! How awesome is that! So, today in my khaki pants and obnoxiously green polo, I walked all over campus, dwelt in a tent, and taught an awesome group of 10 15 years old devotionals throughout the day. I love that EFY is more spiritual, and that I’ll hopefully be able to help the youth come unto Christ.

Last night I was really nervous, but today went well. I’m just taking it one hour at a time. It’s been nice to not think about wedding/Divine Comedy stuff, as much as I love both of those things, and just focus on “What scripture could I use to answer that question?” etc. EFY is crazy busy, each activity is blocked out in ten minute parts. It’s very, very structured, and I tend to do better with a little more freedom, but I’m excited to get better at more structure.
